Apparently sports betting enthusiasts frequently put their cash on Barcelona, Real Madrid et al.
The top sides in Europe are generally well backed by sports betting fans, according to Steve Freeth, sports pro at gambling firm bet365.As a result, teams such as Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid often cost bookmakers money, the expert claims.
The English sides are also supported by punters, as they "certainly love putting their money on teams they know a lot about".

Mr Freeth adds: "The British teams are ruling Europe at the moment and punters have no reason to change their winning ways."
On Tuesday and Wednesday this week, the continent's top European teams meet for the second round of games in the Champions League group stages.
Liverpool host PSV Eindhoven at Anfield, Arsenal welcome 2004 champions Porto to the Emirates Stadium, while Manchester United travel to Danish side Aalborg.
