Bingo firm makes appointment

Tim Miniard takes on new role at electric bingo equipment designer and developer.

There has been a staff change at electronic bingo developer GameTech International.

In a statement released on Friday, the company announced that Tim Miniard is its new senior vice president of sales and product marketing.

He moves from his role of executive vice president of sales at Cadillac Jack, where he was responsible for the organisation's US activity.

GameTech International revealed that its new man started in his role on Thursday September 25th.

Jay Meilstrup, GameTech president and chief executive officer, said: "We are excited to have Tim join our executive staff. He brings with him a wealth of experience in many of the worldwide gaming markets."

He added that Mr Miniard can have an "immediate impact" on the company's performance.

Earlier this month, the firm announced that revenue for the third quarter of fiscal 2008 was $13.4 million (£7.4 million). This was $3.2 million down on the same period in fiscal 2007.
