Around a year ago there were some allegations directed against Absolute Poker regarding cheating on the site. It was thought that certain players had the ability to view the hole cards of others at the table, giving them a huge advantage in tournament play.

The story has been revived as a claim bas been made against Ultimate Bet, the sister site to Absolute Poker. A $75 million claim has been made against the Canadian software company Excapsa Software, which owned and licensed the poker software that powered the sites.

The claim has been filed by Blast-Off Ltd. of Malta, a private company that currently has an ownership interest in Ultimate Bet. The fraud was apparently committed by company insiders – the company said that it was done by “individuals who worked for the previous ownership of Ultimate Bet prior to the sale of the business to Tokwiro in October 2006”.

The people behind Ultimate Bet are also the owners of a start-up security company called Iovation, which claims to identify end clients, and provide authentication for fraud prevention.
