The potential social impact of gambling to be discussed at gaming event in the sunshine state.
Delegates at the Florida Gaming Summit next month are scheduled to discuss the subject of responsible gambling. It is the first time the issue has arisen at the event, which will be running for the fourth year in succession between October 6th and 7th.
Gambling experts will look into the effect gambling can have on society, community and citizens.
Charles Anderer, group publisher of gaming at BNP Media, the company co-producing the conference, remarked: "One of the hot-button issues in any expanding gaming jurisdiction is problem gambling, and legislators and local officials are increasingly demanding that the industry take steps to minimise potential problems."
Earlier this month, it was revealed that proposed slots venues in the state will also be discussed during the two-day convention.
According to the event's official website, around 300 gambling experts will participate in proceedings which take place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
