West Midlands casino development given name.
More details about plans for a new leisure and entertainment complex, which includes a casino, in the West Midlands have emerged. The NEC Group is planning to spend more than £90 million on the new facilities, which will include bars, restaurants and a hotel, as well as the gambling facility.
According to the organisation, the complex would be known as Resorts World at the NEC.
However, the entire project depends on whether it is approved by Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.
The NEC says the plans will create about 1,000 new jobs in the region and allow it to become more competitive.
Paul Thandi, chief executive of the NEC Group, commented: "We intend to make this groundbreaking £90 million leisure complex one of the biggest and best in the UK."
It is understood that the casino will take up less than a tenth of the overall floor area of the resort.
The NEC Arena in Birmingham is already being redeveloped and rebranded in order to increase its capacity.
