The next series of the Poker Premier League will be filmed in November.
A popular televised poker show is to return months ahead of schedule because of demand from broadcasters around the globe.The PartyPoker.com Premier League's first two seasons proved to be a hit for Channel 4 in the UK, but also attracted plenty of interest from overseas.
Eddie Hearn, head of online gaming for the event's organiser Matchroom Sport, explained that the original plan was to stage season three in 2009.
"The worldwide ratings and distribution have exceeded all expectations and the demand is such that we have decided to hold another Premier League event this year," he added.
Filming for the tournament, which features 12 top poker professionals competing in a league format for the right to play in the four-player final table, will take place in London between November 24th and 30th.
Matchroom Sport is still finalising the line-up, but the reigning champion Andy Black has already confirmed he will take part.
Other big-name players to have participated in the event include Dave Ulliott, Phil Hellmuth, Annie Duke and Tony G, along with Finland's Juha Helppi, who won the first season.
