Grospellier wins Festa Al Lago poker tournament at the Bellagio.
Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier clinched his second major victory in a live poker tournament yesterday, winning the Festa Al Lago at the famous Bellagio Las Vegas venue. The Frenchman led the chip count with 6,420,000 going into the final table and eventually defeated US player Nam Le in heads-up play to secure the $1.4 million (£916,890) first prize and the first World Poker Tour (WPT) title of his career.
His victory means he is only the third player in history to win titles on both the WPT and the European Poker Tour (EPT), the others being Roland de Wolfe and Gavin Griffin.
