The inaugural Habitat For Humanity Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament will take place at the El Dorado Hills Community Center on Harvard Way, California, on Saturday, November 1st.
The tournament and fundraiser will open at 6pm, and will be open to the public. The event will include raffles, music, entertainment, and a silent auction, as well as cocktails, gourmet food, and black jack games. The raffle prizes include 18 poker tables.
General admission tickets for the event cost $25, and entry to the celebrity poker tournament is $75. Players may register to take part on the day, and are invited to contact the organizers at edchabitat.com if they wish to make a private donation, or are interested in sponsoring the event.
For those interested in supporting the charity and are not able to attend the event, there will be an online auction beginning on Saturday, 25th October. The auction will take place on eBay, and will be concluded on the day of the event. Items up for auction include two hour long training sessions with stars including World Series of Poker 2007 Main Event winner Jerry Yang, World Series of Poker Bracelet holder J. C. Tran, and World Poker Tour’s First Lady of Poker Linda Johnson.
Other prizes have been donated by The World Poker Tour, Curtis & Co Watches, CardPlayer Magazine, Life’s A Bluff, and several other generous supporters.
