Kent Casino Prepares For Poker Event

Poker event comes to south-east casino between October 13th and 19th.

The next stage of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) gets underway next week at a casino on Britain's south coast.

Poker players will be descending on the G Casino on the Isle of Thanet in Kent for the event, which includes a main game and various side events.

A £1,000 no limit hold'em main event is the main attraction during the week of gaming at the casino, which runs from October 13th to 19th.

Some 50 online poker players have already qualified, according to Poker Player magazine.

The first prize that they and around 150 others will be playing for is likely to be more than £60,000.

Whoever wins will also be given a seat in the £75,000 Champion of Champions tournament at the end of the GUKPT season.

Brighton, Walsall and Bolton have already hosted events on the tour so far this year.
