Moyes - is it time to go?

Betting expert Charlie McCann expects "floods of money" to be placed on David Moyes to be sacked if Everton lose to Newcastle United on Saturday.

Sports betting enthusiasts could be set to punt their money on David Moyes to leave his job as Everton manager if the Merseysiders lose to Newcastle United this weekend.

That is the view of Betdirect's head of public relations Charlie McCann, who has called the match between two sides struggling to find their form "an absolutely enormous game".

"It wouldn't surprise me that, if Everton don't get a result against Newcastle on Saturday, there will be floods of money for David Moyes to be the next manager to lose his job," said Mr McCann.

He also posed the question: "Is it possible that he's taken Everton too far?"

Everton have only picked up seven points from their opening six Premier League matches - all of which have come from ties against newly promoted teams Stoke City, West Bromwich Albion and Hull City.
