William Hill media relations director discusses sports betting trends in relation to Spurs.
Punters may want to wait until Tottenham Hotspur turn around their domestic form until they start sports betting on the team's fortunes in Europe, according to one industry expert.Graham Sharpe, media relations director for bookmaker William Hill, claimed that the Premier League "is clearly where [Spurs'] priorities lie" at present, rather than the Uefa Cup.
It still "remains to be seen" if sports gambling fans will put their money on the north Londoners in Europe.
Perhaps tempting those who like a flutter, Mr Sharp added that Juande Ramos' team are "major contenders in terms of the [Uefa Cup] itself and in terms of the British representatives".
Spartak Moscow, Udinese, Dinamo Zagreb and NEC Nijmegen are the four teams Spurs will have to play in Group D of the Uefa Cup group stage.
