Casino in US gaming capital provides venue for the World Poker Tour's Festa al Lago
The world famous Bellagio casino provides the venue for the 2008 Festa al Lago, a seven-day World Poker Tour (WPT) event beginning in Las Vegas today.Following Glen Witmer's big-money win at the North American Poker Championship (NAPC) in Niagara Falls last week, some of the world's top poker players will be in the hunt for more major cash prizes at the Bellagio.
The Festa al Lago last took place in October 2006, when Norway's Andreas Walnum outlasted a field of 432 to take home a first prize of $1 million from a $4.2 million prize pool.

With the final table scheduled for Sunday October 26th, the buy-in for this year's event is $15,400 and each player will start with a chip stack of 45,000.
A 67-year-old amateur from Canada, Witmer beat out experienced professionals such as Gavin Smith and Kathy Liebert to win over $1 million at the NAPC.
