Devon woman scoops big prize on first ever trip to bingo.
A first-time gambler from Devon is celebrating this week after winning more than £46,000 at her local bingo venue.Newton Abbot resident Susan Williams had no idea she would scoop the jackpot when invited to a Gala Bingo hall in Torquay by regular player Sue Guppy.
After deciding to take up her friend's offer, the newcomer was shocked to win £46,874.19 on the venue's High 5 game.

Speaking to Devon newspaper the Herald Express, Ms Williams described the win as "unbelievable", particularly as it came during her first ever game of bingo.
"You always hear about these big wins but you never think it'll happen to you," the 53-year-old added.
Assistant manager at Gala Bingo Torquay Wilma Stamp added: "We are constantly hearing about the credit crunch so it's nice to have something like this happen in our community."
Last month, an unidentified mother and daughter scooped over £42,000 at a Gala Bingo venue in Fife, Scotland.
