Bingo firm confirms 'Santa Dash' in Morecambe.
Gaming operator Gala Bingo is encouraging Lancashire residents to support a fundraising initiative in Morecambe next month.In partnership with Sue Ryder Care, the bingo firm has planned a 'Santa Dash' for Sunday December 7th, when up to 200 people dressed as Father Christmas will complete a five-kilometre run along the seaside town's promenade.
The event marks the beginning of an 18-month fundraising agreement between Gala Bingo and the charity, which provides care for people with conditions such as multiple sclerosis, cancer and dementia, the Lancaster and Morecambe Citizen reports.

"We wanted to get things started with something and the Santa Dash fits the bill perfectly," explained Mark Dowling, managing director at Morecambe Gala Bingo.
Sue Ryder Care is prepared to provide costumes for people thinking of taking part in the run, which costs £12 to enter.
Gala Bingo is aiming to raise £1 million for Sue Ryder Care over the next 18 months, with its online bingo service running a weekly game to generate funds for the charity.
