Refurbished Zagreb casino opened to gamblers.
A major casino in the Croatian capital Zagreb has reopened following a four-month long renovation project.Operated by Austria-based company Wettpunkt, the venue was first launched in 2004 but has now been updated with a redesigned interior and new gaming options for visitors, Intergame Online reports.
To celebrate its new look, the casino staged a gala event last Friday (November 21st), with a performance from Croatian stars Colonia and Kemal Monteno entertaining the crowd.
Emilian Truta, Wettpunkt's business developer, explained: "The opening night and entertainment is a way of saying thanks to the customers and giving something back to them."
At a cost of 1 million (£843,269), the casino now boasts six roulette tables, over 200 gaming machines and interior design features inspired by the work of Pablo Picasso.
Eastern European casinos have recently grown in stature on the international gaming circuit, with venues in Budapest and Warsaw hosting major European Poker Tour events this month.
