Lido Poker Tournament reaches conclusion at Holland Casino Amsterdam
Dane Jan Sorensen is 623,000 (£533,000) richer after his triumph at the Master Classics of Poker in Holland Casino Amsterdam.He beat Gustav Ekerot of Sweden into second place in the final of the Lido Poker Tournament.
The Lido Poker Tournament is the Master Classics of Poker's main event, and was held this year from Tuesday November 11th to Friday November 14th.
It had a buy-in of 6,000 (£5,100) plus a 200 (£171) entry fee, and featured players from a range of different countries.
Appearing at the Master Classics of Poker were poker players from America, Canada, Russia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Slovakia, England, Ireland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Netherlands and Belgium.
The event kicked off for the 17th time on November 7th, with Texas Hold'em and Omaha the types of poker played.
There was a total prize pot of more than 4.5 million (£3.84 million) this year - 800,000 (£682,000) more than was on offer last year.
