With Redknapp seeming to inspire a sudden turnaround at Tottenham – the north London side have hauled themselves off the bottom with seven points from their last three games – punters are now backing the former Portsmouth boss to take charge of the national team.

Odds of 7/1 are available on Redknapp succeeding Fabio Capello at William Hill, which has also cut its odds on Tottenham winning the league this season from 5,000/1 to 500/1 after their recent run of form.
Meanwhile, Paddy Power makes Bolton Wanderers' Gary Megson the 11/4 favourite to be the next top-flight manager to leave their job, despite his side beating Manchester City 2-0 yesterday.
West Ham boss Gianfranco Zola is priced at 13/2, with 11/1 available on Tony Adams, Redknapp's successor at Portsmouth.
