Odds slashed on Redknapp for England manager's job in football betting markets.
Tottenham Hotspur's surprise victory over Liverpool on Saturday has seen bookmakers cut their odds on Harry Redknapp becoming the next England manager.A last-minute goal from Roman Pavlyuchenko gave Spurs a 2-1 win over Rafa Benitez's side, who were unbeaten in the Premier League before their trip to White Hart Lane.
With Redknapp seeming to inspire a sudden turnaround at Tottenham the north London side have hauled themselves off the bottom with seven points from their last three games punters are now backing the former Portsmouth boss to take charge of the national team.
Odds of 7/1 are available on Redknapp succeeding Fabio Capello at William Hill, which has also cut its odds on Tottenham winning the league this season from 5,000/1 to 500/1 after their recent run of form.
Meanwhile, Paddy Power makes Bolton Wanderers' Gary Megson the 11/4 favourite to be the next top-flight manager to leave their job, despite his side beating Manchester City 2-0 yesterday.
West Ham boss Gianfranco Zola is priced at 13/2, with 11/1 available on Tony Adams, Redknapp's successor at Portsmouth.
