Kent man wins big on TV gambling show.
A bingo fan from Margate has spoken of his shock at winning £60,000 on ITV1's late-night gaming show.Michael Hercock, a retired London bus driver, scooped the cash several weeks ago during an episode of Bingo Night Live, which allows viewers to play along with the numbers game at home.
After receiving his windfall in a cheque from presenter Melinda Messenger last Friday (October 31st), the 67-year-old grandfather told the Isle of Thanet Gazette about his "amazing" win.
For a short while, Mr Hercock was made to wait to discover whether any other player had also hit the jackpot, a period he described as "like waiting outside the maternity room".
He added: "I wore the carpet out pacing the room. I just couldn't believe I'd won."
The father of three said he is not planning any big purchases with the winnings, but will treat his family to a special Christmas celebration.
Bingo Night Live is presented by Melinda Messenger, Michael Underwood and Nichola Dixon, who provides statistics on bingo-playing habits across the UK.
