Bond's return to the screen prompts renewed interest in gambling among cinema-goers.
British casino operators are set to benefit from the release of new James Bond movie Quantum of Solace, it has been claimed.The film hit cinemas last Friday (October 31st) and gaming venues are already experiencing a boost in business, with many viewers associating casino glamour with the fictional secret agent.
Paul Rety, venue director at Alea Casino in Glasgow, told Deadline Scotland that "casinos have always been a big part of the James Bond persona".
He added: "With the release of the new film, interest in the casinos increases.
"I'm sure that the launch of Quantum of Solace will inspire more Scots to look for a taste of the James Bond lifestyle."
Another casino in Glasgow, the Gala Riverboat venue, is planning a series of Bond-themed events to offer fans of 007 a special gaming experience.
In the previous Bond outing, 2006's Casino Royale, the super spy was engaged in a game of high-stakes poker with arch-villain Le Chiffre for a large section of the film.
