An online bingo player has hit the jackpot just a week after signing up to play, it has been revealed.

Mecca Bingo's Mega Ball winner beverlyt scooped £75,587.73 on Sunday, October 19th and recently met Bingo Dave, the Mecca Bingo employee charged with informing beverlyt of her victory, in London.

Berverlyt was in the nation's capital to celebrate her success by staying in a luxury hotel and heading to a West End show.

Remarkably, she told Bingo Dave that she was caught unawares when he phoned her up as she did not realise she had won after calling bingo online after only 30 calls.

"I started to play and was thrilled when I won the two lines and full house. I then logged off and carried on as normal, visiting my sister in the evening then going to work the next day," she said.

"I got the call from Mecca Bingo Dave congratulating me on winning £75,587.73!"

As well as treating herself to a day in London, beverlyt will be putting some money aside to pay off her mortgage and help her daughter set up her own business.
