Online Bingo Player Celebrates Jackpot

A bingo player has revealed how she was "jumping up and down" after winning over £75,000 at an online gambling portal.

Known by her online identity beverlyt, the gamer scooped the jackpot at the Mecca Bingo website, just days after joining up to the service.

She had been a member of the website for less than a week when she won £75,587.73 after completing a full house in just 30 calls, although the full extent of her win was not immediately apparent.

Beverlyt told Mecca that she initially thought she had won just £65, but was informed by the bingo operator that her prize was actually much larger.

"I then got my daughter to log on to my account to check my account balance to see if this was true. Once I noticed it was true I was jumping up and down with my daughter," she explained.

The winner revealed she is planning to invest some of her winnings and use the money to pay off her mortgage.

Cumbria-based bingo operator Opera Bingo recently paid out prizes of £22,427 and £15,875 in the space of three days.
