TV poker tournament features Sky Sports presenter
TV presenter Max Rushden is bidding to land $1 million in Ladbrokes' televised poker series.The 29-year-old co-host of Soccer AM on Sky Sports will make the final of the Ladbrokes Poker Million VII if he comes through a heat on Tuesday (December 2nd).
Rushden is hoping to follow in the footsteps of fellow Soccer AM presenter Helen Chamberlain, who won $500,000 for her second place-finish in the Ladbrokes contest in 2005.
A spokesperson told the People: "Helen is hoping Max plays his cards right."
In his first heat in September, Rushden went up against celebrity poker players such as Abi Titmuss, Dave Gorman and Teddy Sheringham.
On Tuesday, he faces players such as Neil Channing and Dave Gregory.
The Ladbrokes Poker Million VII then progresses to the semi-finals, held on December 10th and 11th, before the December 12th final. The action is broadcast live on Sky Sports.
