Bingo Winner Uses Cash For Stage School

Online bingo prize put towards fees for London stage school.

An online bingo player from the north-east has decided to use his recent £10,000 prize to fund his son's studies at stage school in London.

South Shields resident Terence Perry was able to help his 19-year-old son Christopher, who is enrolled on a one-year course at London School of Musical Theatre, after scooping the jackpot at winkbingo.com.

Mr Perry and his wife have already donated some of the cash to pay for the course, but will now be able to meet the full cost of his son's tuition.

"I can't believe that I never have to worry again about keeping my son in drama school and seeing him reach his dream," Mr Perry told the newspaper.

"It's always been such a big worry for me, especially now. But thanks to winkbingo.com, Christopher now has a chance to achieve the stardom he deserves."

Mr Perry, a 51-year-old service co-ordinator at South Shields Community School, had been playing bingo for just two months before calling house for his £10,000 prize.

A woman in Cumbria won £22,000 at Opera Bingo in Whitehaven this week, eight months after scooping a £32,000 jackpot at the same venue.
