Cumbria Woman Claims Second Bingo Prize Of The Year

Second bingo jackpot of the year for player in Whitehaven

An unidentified bingo player from Cumbria has scooped a major bingo jackpot for the second time this year.

The lucky woman won nearly £22,000 at Opera Bingo in Whitehaven on Monday (December 15th), when she called house to claim the national, regional and club prizes.

According to the News & Star, her numbers also came up at the bingo venue in April, when she shared a jackpot of £32,000 with her daughter.

Jennifer McGrady, manager of the Whitehaven bingo club, told the local newspaper that for one player to claim two major wins at the venue in the space of nine months was "very exciting".

Meanwhile, the winner revealed that her jackpots may have been anticipated during a visit to a fortune teller two years ago.

"She predicted that I would come into money and that numbers would play a big part," the Egremont-based woman said.

Opera Bingo also runs bingo clubs in Workington and Penrith.
