Football Betting: Hughes Odds-On For Premier League Exit

Odds on Hughes exit cut at gambling firms.

Mark Hughes is now odds-on favourite to be the next top-flight manager to leave his position with sports betting firm William Hill.

Although his Manchester City side managed to salvage a point at Ewood Park yesterday (December 28th), Hughes is now 4/5 with the bookmaker to be the next Premier League boss out.

City came from two goals down to snatch a dramatic 2-2 draw with Hughes' former side Blackburn Rovers, but their inconsistent form has led to rumours that the Welshman will soon be making his exit from Eastlands.

William Hill offers 11/8 on Hughes still being in charge at City on the first day of the 2009-10 season, while odds of 8/15 are available on him no longer working at the club when the new campaign gets underway.

The north-west outfit currently sit 13th in the Premier League table, with 22 points from 20 games.

Ladbrokes makes City, who travel to Portsmouth for their next league fixture on January 10th, a 14/1 bet for relegation.
