PokerTek, the US manufacturer of automated poker equipment, has added its PokerPro tables to a Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) ship. The North Carolina-based firm has installed PokerPro in the casino of the Norwegian Pearl and could add the gaming device to other vessels in the NCL fleet if it proves successful.

He said that the Norwegian Pearl's casino area also contains "an array of traditional table games, along with a wide variety of slots not offered by any of our competitors".
Meanwhile, PokerTek's vice president of sales Robert Perry claimed that PokerPro would enable the cruise liner to "offer an extra amenity to their guests in a cost-effective manner".
