Mobile casino market set to develop with help from iPhone
The use of advanced handsets such as the iPhone is good news for mobile gambling operators, an industry expert has claimed.Phil Clegg, editor-in-chief of InterGaming magazine, said the launch of the iPhone could prove to be a catalyst for major growth in the provision of mobile gaming services.
With All Slots Casino unveiling a new application for the iPhone earlier this week, Mr Clegg described the Apple device as the "kind of handset that's going to lead to a boom in mobile telephone gaming".

He explained: "The problem so far with gaming on mobile phones has been the handset technology and the ability of the content, but that's now all about to change."
Mr Clegg said that the development of more gaming features on the iPhone will mark "the beginning of a huge, huge market" for online casino and betting services.
According to recent data from Juniper Research, total wagers from mobile betting reached nearly $1 billion (£650 million) worldwide in 2007.
