Scottish Woman Hits Bingo Jackpot

Christmas comes early at Scottish bingo club.

A bingo player from Scotland celebrated Christmas early by scooping over £33,600 at her local club last week.

Mary McGuire, a 71-year-old from Whins of Milton, won the prize at Gala Bingo in Cumbernauld during a game with her two sisters on December 22nd, the Stirling Observer reports.

After calling house on the High 5 game, the lucky gamer pocketed £33,608, making it a Christmas to remember in the McGuire household this year.

"We play High 5 three times a week but we never expected anything like this," Ms McGuire told the local newspaper.

"I don't know what we'll do with the money - but it'll be a good Christmas this year!" she added.

Gary Duncanson, manager of the Gala Bingo venue, said the jackpot was "a massive win for a lovely woman".

According to Gala Bingo, the company pays out £28 million in bingo prizes each week.
