Sheffield bingo player wins big
A bingo player from Sheffield has scooped a sizeable early Christmas present after winning the High 5 jackpot at Gala Bingo, it has been revealed.The as-yet unnamed player secured £174,367, although the Sheffield Telegraph reports she wasn't the only local bingo player celebrating.
With the High 5 game allowing groups to win big prizes, the remaining players at the club have been left to share £165,352.

"It was amazing. Everyone was really charged up, it was electric," Russell Coggan, Gala Bingo Sheffield Wadsley's deputy manager, told the newspaper.
"And 110 customers in the local area picked up £1,503 just before Christmas - especially with times being what they are it really means something to these people."
Commenting on her success, the winner revealed she was close to missing out on her big prize as she almost forgot to pick up a High 5 card.
Gala Bingo has 175 clubs across the country and can count on more than five million members.
