Bingo players get lucky at Sheffield venue.
Members of a bingo club in South Yorkshire are celebrating this week after hitting the jackpot on Gala Bingo's High 5 game.A 45-year-old player at the bingo venue in Wadsley Bridge, Sheffield scooped £174,367 on the numbers game, with each of the 110 other players in the club taking home a prize of £1,503.
Under the terms of the High 5 game, the winner claims half of the jackpot by calling house on the number five, while the remaining half of the money is shared out between the other players in the club at the time.

The lucky winner told local newspaper the Star that she was "still in shock" after the collective win.
"It's a wonderful feeling … Everyone was thanking me and there were some lovely personal stories," she added.
Russell Coggan, deputy manager at the Gala Bingo venue, commented: "With times being what they are, it really means something to people."
Gala has over five million members and operates 175 bingo clubs in the UK.
