Big win for online slots player at William Hill.

An unidentified gamer from Staffordshire is celebrating this week after winning £227,054 on an online slot machine.

Known only as Simon B, the lucky player scooped the prize on Pharaoh's Treasure, an Ancient Egypt-themed progressive jackpot slot at William Hill's Vegas casino portal.

After a 40p winning line took him into the King Tut's Tomb bonus round, Simon B managed to uncover three masks of Tutankhamen to hit the jackpot.

Describing his win as "out of this world", he revealed that he had previously only ever won "a few hundred pounds" playing online slots.

"I can't quite believe it, but I'll certainly be celebrating the new year with a bang now!" Simon B said.

The jackpot on the Pharaoh's Treasure game has now been reset and will start to build up again.
