T-Mobile Launches Poker Game For Phones

T-Mobile brings free virtual poker to mobile devices

Network provider T-Mobile is offering phone users a free poker game as part of its new Game Club service.

Customers who subscribe to the firm's web 'n' walk internet service will have access to a series of games free of charge, with Poker Million II the first game to be made available.

The applications are funded by advertising, so players will have to watch two full-screen adverts before and after using the game.

People using Poker Million II are set to view promotional material for Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, the new film from Paramount Pictures.

Damine Byrne, head of new proposition development at T-Mobile UK, said: "The launch of ad-funded games further strengthens T-Mobile's mobile gaming offering.

"We continue to make mobile gaming easier than ever before and a more enjoyable experience for our customers."

The gaming content will be hosted and managed by Digistores.

According to Gartner Research, the value of the mobile advertising market will surpass $12.8 billion (£8.67 million) by the end of 2011.
