Season two of ‘The Best Damn Poker Show’ kicked off today. The reality poker show, featuring Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke, will air tonight on Fox Sports Net at 9pm across all time zones in the USA.
The show involves 24 wannabe poker champions, who compete across seven episodes to be the last remaining player. The show will be repeated at 11pm and 12:30am each night, and interested viewers will find extra footage available exclusively online.
The show aims to discover which of the two poker stars, Phill Hullmuth and Annie Duke, is the better teacher, as they mould the poker players into Texas Hold’em champions. Each episode will see some players eliminated, keeping tensions high.
Players qualified by submitting a video audition explaining why they deserve to be on the show. You can see many of the audition videos on the YouTube video site. There were also some live auditions held during the World Series of Poker, and a large number of the competitors were picked from those auditions and interviews.
The winner of the first series of ‘The Best Damn Poker Show’ was signed to the Star Players poker team, and this year’s competitors are hoping for a similar outcome.
