Bingo firm thanks players for participation in fundraising campaign.
William Hill Bingo has given £41,000 to Breast Cancer Care following a three-month campaign to raise money for the charity.The online bingo operator, which launched its Pink Ribbon campaign in October to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, has donated £10 to the charity from every new member who played at least £20 within a month of registering.
In addition, it ran a number of special Pink Ribbon games, with ten per cent of every ticket sold given to the charity.
"Many thanks to our bingo players who have participated in the Pink Ribbon campaign in the last three months, enabling us to raise this terrific amount to help people affected by breast cancer," said Lili Huang, spokesperson for William Hill Bingo.
"Breast Cancer Care needs our help to ensure they can continue to provide information and support to anybody who is affected by the disease."
William Hill Bingo re-launched its website in December with new games and several promotional offers.
The bingo service also recently made an agreement to sponsor David Dickenson's ITV1 gameshow The Real Deal.
