Bingo novice wins major jackpot in Derby.
A woman from Derby recently won £27,000 on her first ever trip to her local bingo club.The lucky player, who has not been named, told the Derby Evening Telegraph that she had not even been planning to visit the Gala Bingo venue on the day of her jackpot.
However, after deciding to play and paying £11.50 for a ticket, the housewife called house and walked away with the £27,000 prize.

"It was a last-minute decision to go to the club but I'm so happy I did," she told the local newspaper.
"I've never played bingo before and I've gone in and hit the jackpot."
Last week, a female bingo player from Cambridgeshire won over £23,000 at a bingo hall in Wisbech, the Fenland Citizen reports.
The woman took home a combined national, regional and house prize after completing her card in 40 numbers.
