Dundee United manager Craig Levein will go into Wednesday night's clash with Celtic knowing that star midfielder Willo Flood could soon be trading the tangerine for the green and white hoops. The Irishman has been widely linked with the Scottish champions and Levein could be powerless to stop any transfer as Flood is still contracted to Cardiff City.
Cardiff manager David Jones admitted Celtic's Gordon Strachan had spoken to him about the on-loan star and it now seems likely that Flood will make the switch to Glasgow.
At 25/1, the little Irishman is well priced to score the opener at Hamden. Dundee United are priced at 11/2 to win within 90 minutes and at 33/1 in extra time.
Interestingly enough, Dundee United are set to face Celtic's bitter SPL rivals in the league this weekend.
Celtic may look to delay finalising the deal for Flood until after the game against Rangers in the hope that he can do them a favour.
