Gaming Firm Launches Bingo Buddy Competition

Gaming operator launches contest to find best bingo friends.

Mecca Bingo has announced details of a competition designed to celebrate the friendships formed at bingo clubs.

Bingo fans who enjoy playing the numbers game with a friend are being encouraged to enter the Bingo Buddy of the Year competition, with an all-expenses-paid trip to New York or London up for grabs.

People who want to be in with a chance of winning must nominate their friend and explain in 50 words or less why they should be receive the title.

Mecca Bingo in Harlow is one of the venues taking part in the competition, which will also present a year's supply of Cadbury's chocolate to regional winners.

Bernie Dullaghan, club manager at the Essex venue, told the Harlow Herald: "Friendships are one of the most valuable things in the world and we want to hear about Harlow's true gems.

"I'd like to encourage the people of Harlow to nominate their bingo buddies for the recognition they deserve."

The competition is open until January 31st, with the national final scheduled for March 24th.

In October last year, online player beverlyt won £75,587 at Mecca Bingo.
