Odds cut on Scolari exit at sports betting companies.
Football betting firms have reduced their odds on Luiz Felipe Scolari leaving his position as Chelsea manager following the weekend's Premier League action.Scolari saw his side's title challenge take a severe knock at Old Trafford yesterday (January 11th), when Manchester United beat the west London outfit 3-0 thanks to goals from Nemanja Vidic, Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov.
As a result, William Hill is offering 11/8 on Scolari not being Chelsea boss at the beginning of the 2009-10 season, while Paddy Power makes the Brazilian 7/2 to be the next top-flight manager to leave their position.
Scolari admitted to BBC Sport that the defeat in Manchester had caused "some very big damage" to his side's title bid yesterday, but also claimed that the race for the top spot is far from over.
"We have 17 games left and we will fight to the last," he said.
Man United are now favourites for the Premier League title at 4/5 with Ladbrokes, which offers 11/4 Liverpool, 7/2 Chelsea, 25/1 Arsenal and 33/1 Aston Villa.
