American developer unveils new bingo server for UK.
GameTech International has brought its server-based gambling system GameTech Elite into the UK market.The system, which offers traditional bingo games and a credit-based version of the game, is able to support 450 wireless devices in a single location and is the largest single installation ever carried out by the Nevada-based firm.
Jay Meilstrup, president and chief executive officer of GamTech, described the UK bingo sector as "one of the most advanced bingo markets in the world".

He added: "It is testimony to the flexibility of our server-based operating system that we can satisfy gaming requirements in four different countries."
Founded in Reno in 1994, GameTech also designs and manufactures electronic gaming equipment for use in the US, Canada, Japan, Mexico, Norway and the Philippines.
In October last year, the company received permission to distribute gaming devices in Nevada from state regulators.
