The World Poker Tour Boot Camp has announced its schedule for 2009 – its fifth year of helping poker players improve their game. This year, the boot camp will have extra stops at new venues.
WPT Boot Camp Founder Ron Rubens explained “Since the beginning, we’ve exclusively been in Las Vegas, Foxwoods, Atlantic City, Gulfport, and other casino towns. We’re now bringing our Boot Camps to our clients rather than making our clients come to us.”
The new schedule includes stops in New York, Chicago, San Jose, Dallas and Orlando, along with the traditional stops in casino towns. The boot camp will include hands-on interactive workshops taught by professional poker players. The pros are chosen based on their poker skills, and their ability to teach players.
Rubens added “I get emails from past students daily who are making serious income from poker since taking their Boot Camps. A number of them have left their jobs and become professional poker players and are now living their dream.”
The boot camps have very limited places, and are and must be booked in advance. Many of the boot camps include a tournament, with cash prizes for the students who perform best in the tournament part of the camp.
