Bingo firms turning to advertising to get ahead of competition.
Many British bingo operators are developing innovative promotional campaigns in a bid to attract more customers, according to a new report.The latest release from online bingo authority bingoport.co.uk claims that major bingo firms are hoping to combat the economic downturn with high-profile advertising campaigns.
According to bingoport.co.uk, numbers game operators are attempting to "extract the maximum value out of their existing customer base" through advertising.
Scott Logan, managing director of bingoport.co.uk, commented: "We're seeing more innovative marketing campaigns from the likes of Foxy Bingo, Gala Bingo, Ladbrokes Bingo and Mecca Bingo.
"These operators, among others, have introduced a range of different concepts to their real money sites."
Foxy Bingo is thought to have spent about £10 million on its new television advertising campaign, while Mecca Bingo has been unveiled as the new shirt sponsor of rugby league team Wigan Warriors.
