Poker pro to appear in magazine's Texas hold'em poker event.
Poker pro Phil Hellmuth has confirmed his appearance in a poker tournament organised by American men's magazine Knockout.Taking place at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas from April 24th to 27th, the Texas hold'em Knockout Poker Tournament is set to boost its profile with the inclusion of Hellmuth in the field.
Nicknamed 'the Poker Brat' for his aggressive personality at the poker table, Hellmuth holds a record 11 World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets and became the youngest ever WSOP champion when he won the main event in 1989.
Knockout has announced that Hellmuth will have a $5,000 (£3,524) 'Knockout bounty' on his head for the event.
"I'm excited to play in the Knockout Poker Tournament and I look forward to the challenge of the Knockout Bounty on myself. I always have fun competing and believe me, I always bring my best game with me," the poker pro said.
Hellmuth has also been lined up to play in NBC's National Heads-Up Poker Championship next month.
