Poker pro set to appear in new series of reality TV show.
American poker pro Annie Duke has been confirmed as one of the contestants for the second series of The Celebrity Apprentice.The show, which begins on US television network NBC in March, pitches 16 celebrities into the reality show format in which contestants must impress ruthless tycoon Donald Trump with their business skills.
Duke will be competing against famous faces including former basketball star Dennis Rodman, comedian Joan Rivers, former TLC singer Tionne Watkins and golf star Natalie Gulbis.
All prize money won on the programme is donated to charity and the poker pro will be playing for Refugees International.
One of the most successful female poker players in history, Duke was born in New Hampshire and won her first World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet in 2004.
She currently holds the female record for the most in the money finishes at the WSOP and has written a book on her experiences at the world's biggest poker event.
