Pro Poker Player Arrested For Murder

Ernie Sherer III, a professional poker player, has been arrested on a murder warrant. According to the authorities in Clark County, Nevada, he is being held without bail at a Las Vegas jail. Sherer III was a full time real estate investor and a professional poker player. His wife lectures at California State East Bay.

Sherer III, 44, had previously been described as a “person of interest” in the case of the brutal beating of Ernie Sherer Jr. And his wife Charlene Abendroth, who were found dead in their home in California a year ago.

The 60 year old man and his 57 year old wife had lived in their home in the Castlewood Country Club near Pleasanton, California for two years. They were found dead in March 2008, and it is thought that they had been dead for almost a week when they were found after their daughter called the country club because she was unable to reach the couple.

During the course of the investigation, police deputies searched the home of Ernie Sherer III and seized his car.
