Herefordshire entrepreneur moving into bingo market in Spain.
A businesswoman who featured on popular TV show Dragons' Den is moving into the Spanish bingo market.Emmie Matthews made a memorable appearance on the BBC programme in 2007, when she and business partner Ed Stevens received an investment of £200,000 from Theo Paphitis.
Ms Matthews secured the largest single-Dragon investment to date on the show for her Gaming Alerts service, but is now focusing on a new venture, the Hereford Times reports.
The entrepreneur, who grew up in Breinton, Herefordshire, is aiming for success in the Spanish bingo market with the launch of a new website.
She told the newspaper: "The £200,000 has gone quite a long way. We've got a couple of projects on the go and we've moved into officers opposite Theo in Wimbledon.
"Since the investment we've set up a whole portfolio of sites and we've got a Spanish bingo website as well."
Dragons' Den allows hopeful entrepreneurs and inventors to pitch ideas for investment to a panel of millionaire business people, who can then offer them capital in exchange for equity.
