WSOP bracelet winner staging chairy poker event in Nevada.
Poker ace Jennifer Harman has announced plans to host a special poker tournament to raise money for the National Kidney Foundation.The event, which will feature poker professionals, celebrities and members of the public, is set to take place at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Harman's hometown of Reno, Nevada on March 11th.
Harman has said that all proceeds from the $230 buy-in no-limit Texas hold'em tournament will be donated to the National Kidney Foundation of Northern California and Northern Nevada.
"The Grand Sierra Resort has been very supportive. I'm excited to be returning to my hometown Reno in support of the local community and the National Kidney Foundation," said the double World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet holder.
Players confirmed to take part in Reno include Marco Traniello, Howard Lederer, Maria Ho, Todd Brunson, Olympic snowboarder Ross Powers and basketball veterans Mike Brown and Doug Lee.
Harman built her reputation as a cash game player before winning her first WSOP bracelet in 2000 and claiming another one in 2002.
