Punters at Cheltenham could use mobile gambling service to place bets.
Sky Bet has unveiled a new mobile gambling service to coincide with next week's Cheltenham Festival, one of the biggest events on the horse racing calendar.Running from Tuesday (March 10th) until Friday, the festival will see thousands of punters descend on the Gloucestershire town to enjoy four days of racing.
In a bid to take advantage of the increase in betting activity surrounding Cheltenham, Sky Bet is offering punters the chance to place their bets on its new mobile platform.
"Cheltenham is a prime example of when mobile betting comes into its own," said spokesperson for the betting firm Helen Jacob.
"Our simple, slick and swift new service should prove a hit with racing fans and we anticipate record traffic on this platform next week," she added.
Compatible with all Wap-enabled devices and iPhone handsets, the Sky Bet mobile service includes features such as in-play betting and accumulators.
The Cheltenham Festival reaches its climax with the Gold Cup next Friday, when Paul Nicholls' horses Kauto Star and Denman go head to head for the second successive year.
