Footballer To Host Coventry Casino Event

Coventry defender to put on race night at stadium's gambling venue.

Coventry City defender Marcus Hall will appear at a special casino night at the Ricoh Arena's Isle Casino next week.

As part of the fundraising effort for the 32-year-old defender's testimonial year, the West Midlands gambling venue is staging a race night on Tuesday March 24th, the Coventry Telegraph reports.

Several Coventry City players are expected at the event, with members of the public also encouraged to attend.

Tony Walsh, chair of the testimonial committee, told the newspaper: "Several of the first team have promised to be there to meet supporters who have come along to the evening.

"We have a range of activities planned for the next few months but wanted to start with an event at the Ricoh which would appeal to City supporters."

Hall made his debut for Coventry in 1994 and had brief spells at Nottingham Forest, Southampton and Stoke City before returning to his hometown club in 2005.
