Jamie Gold is preparing for a trip to Ireland

Jamie Gold will be among the players at the upcoming Irish Open.

Jamie Gold has been confirmed as one of the poker stars to pay a visit to Ireland in April in search of more funds to add to his already sizeable bankroll.

The 2006 World Series of Poker Main Event winner enjoyed a cash boost of $12,000,000 following that success and will be looking to be victorious again in Ireland.

Gold will be joined at this year's Irish Open by the instantly recognisable Tony G, alongside online poker guru Brian Townsend.

The €3,200 + €300 buy-in event is to take place between April 9th and April 13th, kicking off with a satellite that will enable poker fans to gain a seat in the main event for a reduced €200 buy-in and €20 registration fee.

Around 1,000 players are set to hit the tables for the event, which takes place at Citywest Hotel – Ireland's premier Conference, Leisure and Golf Resort.

Gold defeated Paul Wasicka in heads-up play to win his World Series of Poker bracelet, outlasting 8,772 other players to scoop the prize.ADNFCR-1691-ID-19097528-ADNFCR
