Bingo buddies get prizes at Mecca club in Wednesbury.
Players at the Mecca Bingo hall in Wednesbury received an unexpected visit from TV star Jane McDonald this week.The Loose Women host was invited to the numbers game venue to announce the national winners of Mecca's Bingo Buddy competition, the Express & Star reports.
According to the newspaper, members of the Black Country bingo hall were talking to McDonald "like they had known her for years" when she visited on Tuesday (March 24th).
Exeter sisters Sarah Bartin and Hayley Ware received the national prize of a trip to New York in the Mecca competition, which paid tribute to the friendships of bingo players around the country.
However, McDonald was the real star of the show, as she gave people the inside scoop on her Loose Women co-hosts.
"We have absolutely no secrets on that show I'm always saying too much," she said.
Born in West Yorkshire, McDonald worked as a cruise ship singer and found fame as the star of popular BBC docusoap The Cruise.
